About eCurrency
eCurrency is a Layer-1 blockchain built for digital payments, with 10-second blocks and post-quantum security, live since 2018.
Bitcoin showed that value can be issued and settled without a central issuer. We built eCurrency on that foundation for one job: digital payments.
The network launched in 2018 as a Proof-of-Work chain, with coins issued through mining. In 2025 it moved to Proof-of-Stake through a one-way migration bridge: holders burned legacy coins and claimed ECR on the new chain. Migration closed in March 2026.
Key facts:
- 10-second blocks
- Post-quantum signatures with Falcon, the scheme NIST selected through its standardisation process, available alongside classical Schnorr and ECDSA
- Capped supply of approximately 318 million ECR: about 316 million migrated from the legacy chain, plus a terminal emission of at most 2 million ECR that started on 1 August 2026 and halves roughly every 3.2 years
- More than 500,000 holders
The full technical design is in the whitepaper at ecurrency.org/whitepaper.
What the listing means for us
We expect the XT.COM listing to give people in more markets direct access to ECR. Our focus stays on what eCurrency was built for: fast, secure digital payments, with post-quantum signatures already in the protocol.
We'll share updates on X and Telegram as trading opens.
